Ἀκούετε Ministries

Listen. Encounter. Share.

Creating spaces where the stories of Scripture, the stories of women, and our own stories can be heard.

κούετε (akouete) pronounced (ah-koo-EH-teh) is the Biblical Greek command to "Listen" with an emphasis on listening with the intent to understand.  In the original production, this phrase was spoken at the top of act 2, noting how when Jesus entered the world, things were different.  He listened to the people who were around him, heard their own stories and then commanded his disciples to do the same.

κούετε Ministries begins with that same invitation: Listen.

The Mission

Creating works of art that illuminate the stories of women in Scripture and invite intentional listening

Educating audiences through creative encounters with Scripture that encourage curiosity, reflection, and transformation.

Building community through performances, conversations, resources, workshops, and retreats that help us listen more deeply to God and one another.

She Speaks, I Listen
A Theatrical Testimony

Weaving Scripture, storytelling, music, and visual art, She Speaks, I Listen encounters the women of the Bible and considers where their stories intersect with our own.

Filled with honesty, humor, and reflection, this theatrical testimony invites audiences not simply to watch a story, but to listen.

What Readers Are Saying

"I would absolutely read it, use it and recommend it."

"I could not put it down.  Every woman that is brought out, stirs a different emotion...My personal favorite story was the Sarah and laughter part.  It brought out a lot of things I've never thought about before  and so that stuck with me!"
